Hello, and welcome to our class
website. I teach 8th grade physical science at Coffee Middle
School in Douglas, Georgia. I am currently in my twentieth year in
the field of education, and my tenth year as a mi ddle
grades teacher. I have also worked in the field of adult
education, where I specialized in media and technology
administration. I recently completed my Doctor of Education
degree at The
University of Georgia. I earned my Master of Education degree
from Valdosta State
University, and my Bachelor of Science degree from
Brewton-Parker College.
When I'm not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my family,
camping, reading, and playing golf.
I enjoy teaching physical science because I love learning about how
and why things work the way that they do. Most of us have a
natural curiosity about the nature of the physical world, and it is
that curiosity that makes learning not only fun, but meaningful as
well. I believe that students learn best with hands-on, active
learning, and I try to incorporate as many of those activities as
possible into my classes. I look forward to getting to know
all of my students and their parents this school year. We will
work hard, have fun, and learn a lot! |
